Data we collect
EthicPay collects data needed to create accounts, keep debt records, support confirmations, and provide account support. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Account information, such as name, email address, optional mobile number, password authentication data, and account status.
- Debt records, such as debtor/lender names, contact email addresses, amounts, currencies, dates, due dates, repayment terms, private purpose notes, witnesses, attachments, confirmations, correction requests, forgiveness records, and activity history.
- Payment information entered by users, such as repayment amounts, payment dates, evidence notes, and payment confirmation status. EthicPay is a record-keeping app and does not process bank transfers in the current app.
- Nominee information, such as nominee name, nominee contact email, relationship, access permissions, and emergency access requests.
- Notification and email-delivery records, such as recipient email, subject, delivery status, and related app event.
- Support and deletion request information you send to us by email.
- Basic technical data needed to run the service securely, such as authentication tokens, timestamps, and server logs.
How we use data
- To create, authenticate, and maintain your EthicPay account.
- To store and show debt, repayment, nominee, notification, and confirmation records.
- To invite counterparties to review debt records and to send app-related emails.
- To provide support, respond to requests, detect abuse, and protect the service.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations where applicable.
Sharing and visibility
Debt and payment records may be visible to the debtor, lender, and permitted nominees according to the app's access rules. We may use hosting, database, and email service providers to operate EthicPay. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal data. The current app does not use advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal and sensitive data, including access controls, password hashing, authenticated API access, and secure transport where the service is hosted over HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention
We keep account and app data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide EthicPay. After an account deletion request, we delete or anonymize account data within a reasonable period, subject to identity verification and any data we must retain for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute handling, or preservation of records that also belong to another party in a shared debt record.

You may contact us to ask for access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help at ethicpay@sunnahsoft.in. We may need to verify that you control the registered email address before acting on account-specific requests.
Children
EthicPay is not designed for children and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as EthicPay changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
