Data types used by EthicPay
- Personal information: name, email address, optional mobile number, support messages.
- Financial and app activity records entered by users: debt amounts, currencies, due dates, payment records, group expenses, split shares, group settlements, confirmation status, nominees, witnesses, attachments, and related notes.
- Device-local app data: cached records, queued offline changes, default currency settings, and sync state used to keep the app usable when the connection changes.
- Authentication and service data: password authentication data, tokens, timestamps, and server logs.
Purpose
Data is used to provide account access, shared debt records, repayment tracking, group expenses and settlements, nominee access, notifications, offline sync, PDF exports, support, security, and deletion handling.
Sharing
Debt records may be visible to the debtor, lender, and permitted nominees. Group records may be visible to group members. Hosting, database, and email providers may process data for service operation. We do not sell personal data.
Deletion
Users can request deletion externally at delete-account.html.
